Bible verses about

Faith.

For believing when it’s hard: trust that grows as you read.

  1. 01

“Now faith is the assurance of what we hope for and the certainty of what we do not see.”

    Hebrews 11:1

Faith isn’t wishing. The word for “confidence” here was used for a title deed: proof you own something before you’re holding it.

Live it: Write down one promise of God you’re standing on and thank Him for it now, before you see it.

  2. 02

“And without faith it is impossible to please God. For anyone who approaches Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.”

    Hebrews 11:6

Faith believes two things: God is real, and He rewards the people who seek Him. Faith expects God to answer.

Live it: Seek God before anything else this morning. Five minutes in the Word before you open your phone.

  3. 03

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.”

    Proverbs 3:5-6

Trusting God doesn’t mean turning your mind off. It means your own understanding doesn’t get the final word, and He makes the path straight.

Live it: Take the decision you’ve been going back and forth on and pray about it before you decide.

  4. 04

“Immediately the boy’s father cried out, “I do believe; help my unbelief!””

    Mark 9:24

A desperate father said this to Jesus, honest that his faith was mixed with doubt. Jesus didn’t send him away. He healed his son.

Live it: Tell God honestly where your faith is weak. Honesty is where faith grows.

  5. 05

“Consequently, faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.”

    Romans 10:17

Faith grows the way a muscle does: by feeding it. The Word is the food.

Live it: Read one chapter of a Gospel today, out loud if you can. Feed your faith.

  6. 06

““Because you have so little faith,” He answered. “For truly I tell you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.””

    Matthew 17:20

Jesus isn’t measuring the size of your faith but where it’s placed. A small faith in a great God moves mountains.

Live it: Pray today about the thing that feels impossible, and name it out loud.

  7. 07

“For we walk by faith, not by sight.”

    2 Corinthians 5:7

Faith is how you walk when you can’t see the whole road. You move on God’s word, not on what’s visible.

Live it: Name one step you’d only take if you trusted God, and take it today.

  8. 08

“So too, faith by itself, if it does not result in action, is dead.”

    James 2:17

Real faith shows up in what you do. Belief that never moves isn’t living faith.

Live it: Put your faith to work today: help someone, give, or make the call you’ve been praying about.

  9. 09

“Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

    Hebrews 12:2

Fix your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith. Where you look shapes how you run.

Live it: Every time your focus drifts today, bring it back to Jesus with one short prayer.

  10. 10

“Yet he did not waver through disbelief in the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God was able to do what He had promised.”

    Romans 4:20-21

Abraham didn’t waver through unbelief. He grew strong in faith, fully convinced God could do what He promised.

Live it: Give God glory today for a promise you haven’t seen yet.

  11. 11

“For no word from God will ever fail. ””

    Luke 1:37

An angel said this to Mary about something that seemed impossible. With God, nothing will be impossible.

Live it: Name the impossible thing out loud today, then say this verse over it.

  12. 12

“For it is by grace you have been saved through faith, and this not from yourselves; it is the gift of God,”

    Ephesians 2:8

You are saved by grace through faith. It isn’t something you earned. It’s a gift from God.

Live it: Thank God today that your standing with Him doesn’t depend on your performance.

  13. 13

“For the gospel reveals the righteousness of God that comes by faith from start to finish, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.””

    Romans 1:17

The righteous will live by faith. Faith isn’t a one-time decision. It’s how you live every day.

Live it: Make one decision today based on what God says, not on what you see.

  14. 14

““Come,” said Jesus. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water, and came toward Jesus. But when he saw the strength of the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!” Immediately Jesus reached out His hand and took hold of Peter. “You of little faith,” He said, “why did you doubt?””

    Matthew 14:29-31

Peter walked on water while his eyes were on Jesus, and sank when he looked at the wind. Jesus caught him immediately.

Live it: Keep your eyes on Jesus today in the place where the wind is loudest.

  15. 15

“By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, without knowing where he was going.”

    Hebrews 11:8

Abraham obeyed and went, even though he didn’t know where he was going. Faith moves before it sees the map.

Live it: Take the next step God is showing you, even if you can’t see the whole path.

  16. 16

“I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.”

    Galatians 2:20

Paul says he was crucified with Christ, and now Christ lives in him. He lives by faith in the Son of God who loved him.

Live it: Live today as someone Christ lives in.

  17. 17

“If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.””

    Matthew 21:22

Jesus says that whatever you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive. Faith shapes how we pray.

Live it: Ask God for something big today, and ask believing.

  18. 18

“because everyone born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world: our faith.”

    1 John 5:4

Everyone born of God overcomes the world, and our faith is the victory that overcomes it.

Live it: Face what’s trying to overcome you today with faith in Christ.

  19. 19

“Let us hold resolutely to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful.”

    Hebrews 10:23

Hold tightly to the hope we confess without wavering, because God, who promised, is faithful.

Live it: Hold on to one promise today even when you don’t feel it.

  20. 20

“Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”

    Mark 11:24

Jesus says that whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

Live it: Pray today with thanks already in your mouth.

Live it: Learn one of God’s names today and what it says about Him.

  22. 22

“Trust in the LORD forever, because GOD the LORD is the Rock eternal.”

    Isaiah 26:4

Trust in the Lord forever, because the Lord God is an everlasting rock. Faith rests on something that doesn’t move.

Live it: Plant your trust today on something that won’t shift: God Himself.

  23. 23

“so that the proven character of your faith—more precious than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory, and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.”

    1 Peter 1:7

Trials test your faith like fire tests gold, and faith that comes through is worth far more than gold.

Live it: Look at today’s trial as faith being refined, not destroyed.

  24. 24

“But he must ask in faith, without doubting, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.”

When you ask God for wisdom, ask in faith without doubting. Double-minded prayer is unstable.

Live it: Ask God for wisdom on one decision today, and expect Him to give it.

  25. 25

“When Jesus heard this, He marveled and said to those following Him, “Truly I tell you, I have not found anyone in Israel with such great faith.”

Jesus was amazed at a Roman officer’s faith, who believed Jesus only had to say the word.

Live it: Believe today that one word from Jesus is enough for what you’re facing.

  26. 26

“If the God whom we serve exists, then He is able to deliver us from the blazing fiery furnace and from your hand, O king. But even if He does not, let it be known to you, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the golden statue you have set up.””

    Daniel 3:17-18

Three young men told a king that God could deliver them from the furnace, and even if He didn’t, they still wouldn’t bow.

Live it: Settle it today: you’ll trust God whether or not He does it your way.

  27. 27

“Some trust in chariots and others in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God.”

    Psalm 20:7

Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.

Live it: Name what you’re tempted to trust more than God today, and put it back in its place.

  28. 28

“Now the Jordan overflows its banks throughout the harvest season. But as soon as the priests carrying the ark reached the Jordan and their feet touched the water’s edge, the flowing water stood still. It backed up as far upstream as Adam, a city in the area of Zarethan, while the water flowing toward the Sea of the Arabah (the Salt Sea ) was completely cut off. So the people crossed over opposite Jericho.”

    Joshua 3:15-16

The Jordan River stopped flowing only when the priests’ feet touched the water. Sometimes God moves after you step.

Live it: Live today in a way you’d be proud to look back on.
